Conference: Machine Learning: Scientific (R)evolution?
Speaker: Prof. Alexandre Tkatchenko
The development of "machine learning" and why this particular field of computer science attracts so much attention from essentially everyone will be explained. It has revolutionised the interaction between humans and machines and many other areas of science and technology. These exciting advances, but also its inherent limitations might eventually lead to an "machine learning winter" (until the next hype comes).
